Key Libraries
The DULS includes several major libraries spread across the North and South campuses: 
  • Central Library: The main library, located in the North Campus, is the symbolic and practical center of the system.
  • Arts Library: Also within the Central Library Complex in the North Campus.
  • Central Science Library: Located in the Faculty of Science building in the North Campus.
  • Ratan Tata Library: The primary library for the Delhi School of Economics.
  • South Campus Library: Serves students and faculty on the University of Delhi South Campus.
  • Law Faculty Library: A single-discipline major library for law students.
  • Braille Library: A special library dedicated to assisting visually impaired users with resources like e-books and screen-reading software. 

Resources and Services
The DULS provides access to a wealth of academic resources: 
  • Physical Collections: Includes numerous books, print periodicals, theses, and dissertations.
  • E-Resources: Offers remote access to a massive e-library platform featuring around 88,000 eBooks, 35,000 e-journals, over 1 million e-theses and dissertations, and more. Access is available through the DU E-Library portal.
  • Online Services: Provides services such as a centralized Web OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) for searching the collection, user education programs, and inter-library loan services.
  • Accessibility: Facilities for users with disabilities are available, including specific resources at the Braille Library and assistance through the DU-NTPC Center. 

General Opening Hours 
While timings can vary by specific branch, the general working hours for some libraries are:
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (timings for circulation may vary).
  • Saturday & Sunday: Generally closed, though some branches may have specific schedules or remain open during exam periods.
  • The Central Library in North Campus has been noted to operate 24 hours a day in some instances, though standard hours for other services might be different.
